Dear Devotees in TBP,

Love and Love alone....

Today onwards, I am starting the " Spiritual Diary: An Inspirational

Thought for Each Day " . This collection of inspiring thoughts has been

taken chiefly selected from the writing of Sri Sri Yogananda

Paramahamsa and published by Yogoda Satsanga Society of India. As the

author of an " Autobiogrpahy of a Yogi " , you all not Him. He is the

founder of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India in 1917 and

Self-Realization Fellowship in America, international headquarters of

SRF in 1920.

His life's work was the dissemination of the spiritual science of

Kriya Yoga, a technique of meditation whereby man may attain direct

personal experience of God. Paramahamsa Yogananda expounded the

teachers of Bhagavan Krishna and of Jesus Christ as in essence one. He

taught that by conscious communion with the universal Kutastha

Chaitanya (Christ Consciousness) manifest in them, and in all

God-realized avatars, mankind may know true brotherhood under the

Fatherhood of God. PY has shown thousands of spiritually aspiring men

and women how they can commune, through Kriya Yoga, with that

omnipresent Kutastha Chaitanya, which is the " light of the world " .

In His writings PY recorded many stories about the illustrious line of

YSS of India and SYF gurus: Mahavatar Baba, Lahiri Mahasaya and his

own guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri. The Spiritual Diary also includes

much wisdom from the lips of these great ones. Inspiring passages have

also been chosen from the talks and letters of Sri Sri Rajasri

Janakananda and Sri Gyanamata, two highly advanced Western Disciples

of PY.

Users of the Diary will find after each thought for the day the name

of the person whose words are quoted, and the book or other

publication from which it has been taken. Since the person quoted may

not necessarily be the author of the publication shown as the source,

a list of books is given at the end of the Diary for the reader's

interest and convenience.

Love and Love alone....
