Ugadi falls on the first day and first month of Chaitra and we beleive that Lord Brahma began the creation of the universe on this auspicious day. Brand new cloths, a visit to the Temple, savouring the Ugadi pachchadi, Purnakumbhadanam, and reading religious almanac - Panchangasravanam with the family ,relatives and friends in the puja room or in a temple are some of the important rituals of celebrating the Ugadi.Telugu youngsters who live abroad, away from their parents will surely miss this during these celebrations.
