Guest guest
Attaining the Ever Attained - Part II We can accept God (Bhagwaan) as our own by our self. Why can we accept? Because God (Bhagwaan)is our own. No one else is our own at all, they cannot be at all. We can separate ourselves from the world by our self. Why can we be? Because we are separate from the world – (Brihadaranyak- 4/3/15). The conclusion is that we can for our Selves become free from desire, free from possessiveness and free from egoism, and we can be all these things right now. To do all these things the body is not essential, rather we can do it by our selves. By becoming free from effort / action (by the Self) and giving up dependency on anything other than Self, we reach the state of repose and dependence on God (Bhagwaan). For this we are not dependent on anything, we are totally independent. There never was, nor is, nor will be, nor can be, any relation, of our Selves with the body. Therefore, we can have food with the body but we cannot pray with the body. We cannot even serve with the body, we have to detach ourselves from the body to serve. How can we do this? By making our Selves free from sins and evils. Why can we do this? Because we are free from evils – (Manas Uttar 117:2). We even pray by our Selves. How can we do this? Because we are lovers of God (Bhagwaan). We can discuss service and love with the body, but we cannot serve and love with the body. We can only attain the world with the body, mind, sense and intellect because we have acquired all these things from the world. We cannot attain God (Bhagwaan) with these. You cannot have any access to or hold on God through the body, the senses, the mind or the intellect. If you could have attained or realised God through any of these means, then you would have been able to attain and realise Him through a machine also. Therefore, if a striver wants to attain God, he will have to renounce his dependence on the body, the senses, the mind and the intellect, he will have to renounce his dependence on action. God is never attained by dependence on these insentient or material objects like the body, etc., He is attained by detaching your Self from these. This proves that to attain God to become his lover, we neither need the body, nor the senses, nor the mind and nor the intellect. Whatever is attainable using the body, i.e. worldly things, cannot be attained by everyone, but what is attainable by the Self, is attainable by everyone. Something that is attained by one and not by another is not God (Bhagwaan). God is He who is attainable by everyone. Why is he attainable by everyone? Because He is already attained. When there is nothing else but God, then how is He unattained?
