Guest guest
BONDAGE Bondages are created upon our personality and life by none other than ourselves. These bondages, infinite in number, are produced by the subtle chords of our attachment to things. BRAHMAN No one, steeped in sensuous pleasures can ever find abidance in Brahman. Can lotus ever grow on rocks or hair on tortoise shells? A Brahman is one whose Atman has become one with Brahman: one who has found his identity with the Self everywhere. He is called Brahma-vid, the knower of Brahman. Among men, it is he whose mind is ever fixed on Brahman that is the best and noblest. The difference between Brahman and the world of objects is the lateral inversion. Consciousness is Infinite; the world is finite. Whenever your attention is drawn towards the world of objects, think of its unreal nature. The world is nothing but the reflection of Brahman having no reality apart from it. The learned man who discountenances the efforts for the realisation of Brahman, is more dangerous than the ignorant one.
