Guest guest
Dear friends and devotees, Bhakti is eternal. After sending 50 Sai Messages, I had to discontinue, due to my ill health. Now I am recovered from the serious sickness by HIS grace and with your well wishes and able to join with you. In the course of time, I got three types of feedbacks. 1. Expressed their happiness - Felt blessings of Baba and thanked them. 2. Interpretations - Clarified to some extent, being incompetent. 3. Enquired whether I am Sai devotee? Replied affirmatively. Here, the third one only is typical. The exact literal meaning of Devotee is “an ardent follower and admirer. It also refers to one who has devotion, which means who has religious zeal; the willingness to serve God. We are all devotees to those who follow Sanatana Dharma. We are the devotees of each other, in regard to Bhakti and devotion. In such case, is it not advisable to follow the preachings of Bhagavan Satyasai who is propagating sanatana dharma? Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba does not cease to surprise people. For decades, He has captured the hearts of a few million devotees the world over as their spiritual master and to many as their personal God. After having gifted humanity with a structured organization, (so that people can practice love through service) and free educational institutions, He set up a massive temple healing, the Super Specialty Hospital at Prasanthi Nilayam offering free tertiary medical care to the poor and the needy. For more than a century, various administrative bodies had tried to come up with a comprehensive water supply system for the arid district of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. In spite of many challenges, Baba took up the work and brought sweet, safe drinking water to the doorsteps of villagers. With His compassion, His Grace and exemplary Determination, He brought forth from the rocky ground, a fountain of love. As someone had rightly put it, with His love, the curse of the millennium had been eradicated. We are fortunate to live in the era of Bhagavan and to hear His melodious bhajans and discourses, in simple language and cultivate good habits, to full fill the obligation of human life. Is it necessary to exhibit ourselves that I am a Sai Devotee etc? I am the follower of Holy Paramacharya. But I confirmed that I am Sai devotee. There are many short discourses from the voice of Bhagavan from the past decades and they are the guidelines for leading a good life. I am sending them in a serial of two to three Paras a day, under the heading Golden words of Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba. With love and regards, Sastry Golden words of Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba 1 One may have listened to a number of spiritual discourses, but one should not be content with mere listening only to forget them later. One must enquire as to how much one has been transformed by attending these discourses. One must try to put into practice at least one or two of the teachings, get rid of worldly attachments gradually and progress on the path towards the Divine. In due course, divinity will surely blossom in the heart. If, on the contrary, one goes on multiplying one's worldly concerns and desires, one will go down to the animal level. One must be content with what one has and put it to good use with faith in the Lord.
