Security and Gain Both Come from Bhagwaan - Gita 9:22

" To those men, who worship Me alone, thinking of none but Me, who are

ever-devout, I provide them gain and security. " (Gita 9:22)

" Ananyaascintayanto maam ye janaah paryupaasate;

tesaam nityaabhiyuktaanaam yogaksemam vahaamyaham " (Gita 9:22)

In this verse, God mentions the superiority of His devotees. " Ananya

bhaktas " (devotees with exclusive devotion for only God) are those who

hold that there is no other entity besides God - " Uttama ke asa basa

mana maahim, sapanehu aana purusa jaga naahim " (Mansa, Aranya 5:6)

God provides the devotees infinite gains. Just like a worker gets a

paycheck according to the amount of work performed, but when the owner

himself works, then he keeps the entire profit. To those exclusive

devotees, God provides all that is essential for their sustenance, as

well as, their spiritual growth and also provides protection of all that the

devotee has already acquired. This is God's promise " yogaksemam vahaamyaham " .

Though God takes care of all beings, He specially provides for and protects His

devotees, who have exclusive devotion for Him.

Just as a mother brings up her loving child herself, instead of leaving it under

the care of a nanny. Whatever she believes is essential for the well-being of

the child, she herself brings with great joy and happiness for the child.

Similarly those devotees that are constantly and continuously engaged in only

God, for such devotees, whatever God considers as essential for them, that He

Himself provides. In other words, God Himself does all the work for His

devotees.

Just like a devotee attains joy by serving God, similarly God takes

delight in serving His devotees - " ye yathaa maam parpadyante,

taamstathaiva bhajaamyaham " (Gita 4:11).
