1. Rama Namam cholvade Kaliyil gadiyam!

adaiyum marandal ado gadiyam!

 

2. Rama Namam cholla cholla nanmai perugume! -- navum yinikkume!

pamaran mudal panditan varai punidam akkume!

 

3. Sivanum Parvathiyum chollum namamam!

kavalaiyai pokki santi nalgumam!

 

4. Rama Namam cholli Anuman kadalaith thandinan! -- malaiyai thookkinan!

malai ponra dukkhamum panipol vilagumam!

 

5. Rãma Namam cholli Sabari mukti yeidinal!

Namamum Namiyum veruveru illave illaiyãm!

 

6. Rama Namam cholvadarkku yenda thadaiyum illaiyãm!

cholla cholla tadaigall ellãm thãne vilagumãm!

The Translation:

 

1. Chanting the Name of Rama is the only way out in this Age of Kali!

if one cannot do even this (simple thing) one has no way out at all!

 

2. Repeated chanting of the Name of Rama enhances prosperity! -- sweetens the

tongue, too! it purifies all - from the common man to the scholar!

 

3. It is the Name that Lord Siva and His Consort Parvati chant!

that removes sorrow and bestows peace!

 

4. Chanting the Name of Rama, Hanuman crossed the ocean! -- and, lifted the

mountain! mountain sized sorrows melt away like the fog!

 

5. Chanting the Name of Rama, Sabari attained Liberation!

the Name and the Named are not different!

 

6. There is no barrier for chanting the Name of Rama!

All barriers are removed as one repeatedly chants the Name of Rama!
