Guest guest
Radhe Krishna To all, In Tirupati is the holy pond of 'Swami pushkarini'. 'Swa' means property. One who has possessions is known as 'Swami'. Why is this pond known by the name of 'Swami'? All those – the poorest of the poor, even the most wicked –who take a dip in this pond are blessed with all wealth of the world. Thus, it is known as 'Swami pushkarini'. The 'Vimaanam' here is known as 'Aananda vimaamanam.' While climbing up the Tirumala hills we come across a place named 'muzhangaal mudicchu' (literally meaning 'knot at the knees'). Why does it carry this name? Is it because one experiences pain in the knees? No. There is an interesting incident behind it. Yatiraj Ramanuja desired to have darshan of Lord Srinivasa in Tirupati. Sri Ramanuja's maternal uncle, Tirumalai nambi, lived on the mountain. It is from him that Sri Ramanuja learnt the whole Ramayana with all the subtle connotations ('rahasyartham'). World cannot comprehend a Mahan. One whose behaviour can be comprehended cannot be a Mahan. Externally, Mahans are no different from an ordinary man. They are endowed with the same physical features as an ordinary man. Mere japa, dhyana, will not earn the darshan of God. Vedantis say that all karmas (ordained duties) are 'jada' (insentient). Do karmas have the power of bestowing the fruit on you? No. There is a 'phala data' (bestower of fruit). 'Kanmam payantharal karthanadu aanaiyaal' – karmas bear fruit only due to the order of God. This is true. However, we must realize that even japa, dhyana, pranayama, yogasana, manas (mind) all fall into this category only. That is, they are also verily 'jada' (insentient): as insentient as the ordained karmas. Sans the grace of the Lord ('Ishwar krupa') one cannot earn Jnana (wisdom). Grace, the Lord's Grace is only 'Chaitanyam' (Conscious); all else are insentient. Only one who believes in the Grace of the Lord will attain Jnana. Jnana cannot be bought for a price; it is earned only through the Grace of God. !!! Will Continue !!!
