Since the gracious Lord produces the needful food for all creatures only in the needed quantity, if one consumes more than what is needed to sustain life, it is a sin of stealing violently other’s food. Thus should you know. Sri Muruganar: Although this verse mentions only food, it is applicable to all the necessities of life.
