Guest guest
Radhe Krishna To all, Lord Venkatewara brings out the greatness of 'Sri Paadarenu'. The Lord here performs a wonderful Lila to illustrate this. The Lord wears the 'Sri Paadarenu' even today. In the same way, the Lord performs several Lilas in all His Avatars. As Krishna, He performed wonderful Lilas in Gokula. No house was spared when He went about stealing butter, curd, milk, etc. He has played all the mischief. There was not a single cow untouched or not grazed by Him. No boy of Gokula remained outside His circle. All enjoyed His friendship. This was verily the glory of Krishna Avatar – ('soulabhya' and 'sousheelya') amiable and amicable. Greatness lies not in the mere fact of incarnation but in His amiable nature. Nevertheless, Panduranga was greater than even Krishna in this aspect. Krishna Avatar was Vibhavatar. He had come down in flesh and blood; as such, it is not amazing to find Him walk in and out of homes. But as Panduranga, the Lord is in 'Archavatar'. While in 'Archavatar' the Lord rushes to Namadev's home, to Chokamela's home, to Sena nayi's home and all other Bhkatas' homes. Tirupati Srinivasa Perumal came down from Sri Vaikunta to Tirupati on Purattasi (Tamizh month), Sravan (star), Vijayadasami. Today is verily that day. The holy place was Varaha kshetra. A cow went up to an ant hill occupied by a snake and voluntarily poured forth milk from its udder. The Lord appeared in the dream of a Thondamandala king and instructed him to carefully check inside the ant hill, the home of a snake. The king carried out the orders of the Lord and found the Lord in the form of Varaha murti. At the same time the Lord also appeared there in the form of Lord Srinivasa. It would not be out of place to mention here that the Deity at Gunaseelam also appeared from inside a snake hole. Lord Srinivasa of Premika Bhavanam (Swamiji's Jafferkhan pet ashram in Chennai) also came here on the same day as Tirupati Lord Srinivasa – Purattasi, Sravan, Vijayadasami. The calendar was not consulted for installing Him; a day was chosen and later it was found to be the very same day (of appearance of Tirupati Lord). The Lord in His Vibhavatar as Krishna, as Panduranga in 'Archavatar', as Tirupati Srinivasa in 'Archavatar' has been very amiable. But the Lord as Srinivasa here in Premika bhavanam out beats all of them in His amicability. The Lord has made the first floor of a house His abode – just as the way, we, His Bhaktas live in a house! There is no temple, 'dwajastamba' or 'gattastana' here! Namasankirtan has been performed every day here. There has been countless Bhagavata paaraayana, Ramayana paaraayana. Oh, how many Sadhus have visited this place! There has been daily paaraayana of Vedas. I wonder if such Namasankirtan, Veda parayana, Bhagavata patanam, etc. have taken place elsewhere. Who can say if all these take place here because the Lord is here or the Lord has come here as He had foreseen these? The Divine Presence that one finds in great Kshetras like Puri or Tirupati or Guruvayur is certainly found here. Every prayer is answered here. On this day of Avatar utsav may all be blessed with all auspiciousness.      " GOPIKA JEEVANASMARANAM! GOVINDA! GOVINDA! "       Your comments and feedback are valuable.
