Dear Sirs,

As per Ramayana, King Dasaratha had asked Lord Sri Rama to go to vanavasam for

fourteen years and deputed Bharata, to rule the kingdom. This was done by him on

the demand of kaikeyi, the third wife  of Dasaratha. Lord Rama carried the

instructions of his father and went to Aranyavasam, along with his wife Sita and

brother Lakshmana.

Bharatha, who had come to know the incident late, had approached Sri Rama, to

come back to Ayodhya and take the power, for which Sri Rama had denied. This is

ok.

In the end, after Sita was released by Sri Rama, by killing Ravana, Sri Rama

came back to Ayodhya with all, since the vanavasam period was completed at that

time and ruled the country of Ayodhya, prosperously which was called Rama Rajya.

Now, the doubt is, why SRI Rama had accepted to rule Ayodhya, when Bharatha was

very much there and was appointed by his father Dasaratha. Here one thing should

be noticed- Sri Rama was always obeyed the orders of his father Dasaratha and

performed “ pitru palanaâ€. In that case how he has accepted the ruling of

the country. Even if Bharatha wantedly offer also?

I love Sri Rama and worship HIM. But I am not able to understand the logic

behind this doing so by Lord Rama. May be some link/interpretation was there in

Ramayana, which I missed to understand.

Any one in the group may kindly clarify this point.
