Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGIRATHI BHANDUVULLARA! This is a question in respect of Ramayana. I got an answer from a different source, which is not that appealing. I am now seeking a better answer from our learned members. In the beginning of Sundarakanda, the entire south-bound Sugrivasena, led by Angada, reaches the Sea-shore and were discussing and deliberating upon finding Sita Devi. Thereupon Sage Valmi introduces Sampathi and he with his long vision (Doora Dhrusti), says, he is seeing Sita Devi in Ashoka Garden. Anyone who can cross the sea can fetch Sita Devi from Ashoka Garden. Thus was the advise of Sampathi, the brother of Jatayuvu. Now, the question is why Hanuma has not gone directly to Ashoka Garden, to search for Sita Devi and find out whether Sita is there or not? He instead searches the streets, palaces, Pushpak Viman, and in a desperate mood, wishes to commit suicide. Hanuma is a great Rama Bhakta and do not want to waste time in Rama Karya. Why he has to spend time in searching Sita Devi like that? Is there any inner meaning and philosophy behind it?
