Sri Shirdi Sai Baba- The incarnation of the Para Brahma 2

Samartha Sadguru sainaath is very fond of lamps. Everyday he used to borrow oil

from the shop keepers in Shirdi and kept the lamps burning through out the night

in the masjid. He preached that these lamps are meant for destroying the

darkness (Agyana) in the hearts of the people and lightening the candles of

Jyana or knowledge.

There lived an atheist by the name Bhala Bhate who preached that Baba is just an

ordinary magician playing tricks and black magic and trying to attract innocent

people. He urged the shop keepers of Shirdi not to give oil to Baba as He is

performing the act of lightening the lamps in the mosque contrary to the customs

of the Muslim community.

One day the shop keepers, convinced by Bhates argument, got together and refused

to give Oil to Baba. Unperturbed , Baba returned to the mosque in the evening.

Vidya, a small girl who used to visit the mosque very frequently requested Baba

to somehow light the lamps. All the shop keepers led by Bhate hide themselves

behind a tree in front of the mosque eager to observe what Baba will do?

Baba smiled and took the tin pot which contained a few drops of oil, put water

into it and drank it. He forced all the water back into the pot thereby

consecrating the water. He again took the water from the pot, poured into all

the lamps, kept the dry wicks and lighted them. A great miracle has happened. To

the surprise of all the shop keepers, lamps began to burn more brightly and kept

burning throughout the night. Te darkness in the mosque was quelled with these

bright lamps and so is the agyana in the heats of the people. The shop keepers

have repented, came running into the mosque , fell at Babas feet and apologized

for their misbehavior. Baba, kind hearted, who always forgave his devotees for

their remonstration, too blessed them and advised them to be more truthful in

future. If you have and do not wish to share the same with others, then please

tell them in a polite way. Never shout or demean others. Never tell lies was his

advise.

Sri Samardha Sadguru Sainaatha Maharaaj ki Jai
