Sri Shirdi Sai Baba- The incarnation of the Para Brahma - 1

Sri Sai Baba exercised absolute control over the Pancha tavta i.e the Five

elements. There are Two incidents which shall be described below:

Once in the evening time, there was a big storm in Shirdi. Suddenly the sky

became over cast with black clouds. Soon rain began pouring accompanied with

lighting and thunders. Shirdi was flooded in no time and people ran

helter-skelter. Water entered into the houses too. Poor creatures got terrified

and found no place for shelter. Devotees ran into the masjid and prayed to Sri

Sai Baba to quell the storm. There are many deities in Shirdi and despite of

fervent prayer by the people none came to their rescue. Sri Sai Baba moved by

the plight of the people came out of the masjid and shouted by waving his stick

towards the sky “Stop ! Be calm. My poor people are suffering.â€.

Then a miracle has happened. Within minutes the storm has subsided. Winds ceased

to blow and clouds began to recede. Very soon the sky became clear. Flood water

in the Shirdi village began to recede and calmness prevailed. people were

wonder-struck by this miracle (leela) and singing Sri Sai Baba’s greatness,

thanked Baba and went back to home happily.

It is indeed worth to mention that even though the entire Shirdi village is

flooded, not a drop of water entered the mosque which is at a lower level.

On another occasion, in the afternoon the fire in the dhuni being lighted by

Baba began to burn brightly suddenly. It appeared that flames have reached the

rafter of the mosque and people sitting in the mosque began to tremble and they

didn’t dare  to ask Baba to pour water to quench the flames. They began to

pray fervently to Baba to interfere as they feared a fire accident. Baba

realizing this, took his hand stick (satka) and hit the adjacent wooden pillar

three times subtly and said “Get down ! Be calmâ€. To the surprise of

everyone, the flames began to subside and came down .The dhuni became normal.

 

The devotees who have witnessed this incident realized the tremendous control

Sai Baba exercised over the five elements and praised his glory.
