Guest guest
The Illuminator of All Illuminators Yadaadityagatam tejo jagadbhaasayatekhil am | yacchandramasi yacchaagnyou tattejo viddhi maamakam. || (Gita 15/12) That which illuminates all the lands in this entire World, are the Sun, the Moon and the Fire. The light that comes from these, is all from Me alone. (Gita 15/12) However many inert forms of Light that are there - such as Sun, Moon, Stars, Planets, Electricity (Lightening) , Fire etc., they are all from Bhagwaan Itself. Therefore He is the Illuminator of All Illuminators. Beyond these inert Lights that by which one gains knowledge about the objects far beyond, they are the Illuminators. With the eyes we can gain knowledge about the face, with the ears we can gain knowledge about words, with the skin we can gain knowledge about touch. With the tongue, we can gain knowledge about taste. With the nose we can gain knowledge about smells. In other words these are all illuminators. With these you can gain knowledge about all the things. It can be explained by an example. There was a brother, who was visiting me. He saw me and I saw Him. There the eyes are the illuminator. If we were both blind, then we would not be able to see each other. The knowledge that was gained by seeing each other, that would have not taken place. Where the eyes are not the illuminator, there the words become the illuminator. Just like I asked some brother, is Sharanandji Maharaj sitting, and he replied Yes! Then even if the two are blind, by the strength of words one can gain knowledge about the other, and can meet each other. While sitting next to each other, they can converse. If both are blind then the knowledge is gain through words. Here the words are the illuminator. Let us say, if both are blind and both are deaf and both are dumb, then how will they recognize each other? Here the touch is the illuminator. By touching each other they can come to know. By this we can tell that these are all illuminators. The subject is also the illuminator, while the sense organs are also the illuminator. And all these illuminators are from Paramatma. Therefore Paramatama is the Illuminator of all Illuminators. Beyond these sense organs, the illuminator is the mind, which has knowledge about all the sense organs. But the sense organs or the objects do not have knowledge about the mind. Therefore mind is the illuminator of all the five sense organs. Above the mind is the intellect, by which we can perceive that my mind has wandered off to Calcutta, or my mind is not settled today. With the intellect we can come to understand the mind. Therefore the intellect is also an illuminator. And even the intellect is known by the Self (Atman), At this time my intellect is very sharp. My intellect is filled with impurities. This knowledge is attained by the Self. Therefore the Atman (Self, Soul) is also an illuminator. This illumination of the Self, is beyond even the intellect. Higher than even the Illumination of the Self is the Illumination of Paramatma in the path of Devotion (Bhakti marg). In the principles of Jnana (Knowledge) both Atma (Self, Soul) and Paramatma (Supreme Soul) are one and the same, there is nothing beyond these. In the Path of Devotion (Bhakti), the Jeev can separate from Paramatma. The Illumination of Paramatma is greater than the illumination by the Self (Atma). Therefore the Essential properties (swaroop) of Bhagwaan that is to be known, is the Illuminator of all Illuminators. Paramatma Alone is the Light behind all the Illuminators. In this world however many Illuminators that are existing, they are all from Paramatma alone. They have received illumination from Paramatma. It is Paramatma that gives them all " Existence " (sattaa). Paramatma Itself is established in their Illumination.
