Guest guest
Let There Be No Contrary Notions (Vipareet Dhaarnaa Ne Karna) After a devotee has taken refuge in Bhagwaan (God), he must not have any contrary notions , such as " I am not Bhagwaan's " . The reason for this is that it is not dependent on our believing or not believing. The eternal and everlasting relationship with God, is unbroken, unlimited, indivisible, indestructible and forever. It is my mistake that I have not paid any attention towards this relationship. Now that this mistake is wiped out, then how can any thing contrary have a hold on the mind? If with a true heart a man surrenders to Bhagwaan (God), then worries, fear, doubts, and other flaws will not remain in him. His inner sentiments (bhaav) of having taken refuge in Bhagwaan, gradually becomes more steadfast and established on it's own. It is just like after marriage, the girl's relation with her father's home slowly diminishes, and the relationship with her husband's home becomes increasingly strong on it's own. This sentiment becomes so very solid that overtime when that girl becomes a mother and later a grand mother, then even in her dreams she does not have the sentiments that " I am not from here. " In her mind the sentiments that become firm are " I belong here only and these are all my very own. " When her son brings home a wife, and when the wife has some disagreements with her, then that grandmother says, this outsider who has come into the family has brought much disharmony and is ruining my house. But at no time this grand mother remembers that she too at one time was an outsider (from a different home / family). The point here is that even in a false relationship one can have such a strong and firm hold, then being a part (ansh) of Bhagwaan (God) and all beings having an eternal relationship with Him, then what is so surprising about that relationship being strengthened ! As such, the only thing that is essential to strengthen that relationship with Bhagwaan (God), is to let go off that assumed relationship with the world.
