Guest guest
Religion by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha We surely do not want a Religion if it will not help us in the pursuit of our day-to-day life, both in the house and outside. Religion, if it is to be called a Religion, must really be a `softener' to our life and behaviour. True religiousness must make us more and more endearing, more and more graceful and good-looking. True religion begins with the LOVE of your mind and heart. It progresses through the principle of adjustment and reconciliation. And finally it ends and fulfills with the realization of these two virtues. * * * Religion started from man, not from God. It is for man, not for God. It has therefore to end with man. For that it must conform to the needs of man's own life here and succeed in fulfilling his inmost aspiration and urges.
