Swami Ramsukh Das - Serve, Know and Accept

 

Man has been blessed with the power to do, to know and to believe. The power of

" Doing " is for the world, the power of " Knowing " is for our Self and the power

of believing is for God. God IS and God is mine - accept this firmly. Utilize

the three powers (doing for others, knowing your Self and believing in God) and

attain Realization. These are the three primary paths mentioned in the Gita and

Srimad Bhagwat.

 

The Three Powers In Man

 

Man has three powers - (i) to do, (ii) to know and (iii) to accept.

 

The power to do is to be utilized to serve, to do for others

The power to know is to be utilized to know your Self. Who am I?

The power to belief is to be utilized to accept God. God IS.

 

To Do - Whatever is done is done for the benefit of others. So all doing is for

the world. We came with nothing into this world and will take nothing with us

when we depart this world. So how can any any action we do be for our Self.

Nothing has to be done for our Self. Even prayers are for others. All actions

are for the welfare of others. Give pleasure to everyone. Constantly be aware of

how others can benefit from your actions. The world is to be served.

 

To Know - To know your true Self. What is knowing? It is knowing that - I am not

the skin, I am not the flesh, I am not the bones, I am not the eyes, etc. What

remains after negating everything is the true " Self " that is pure,

indestructible, knowledge and bliss absolute, unaffected by anything that is

changing, coming and going.

 

To Believe - To accept the existence of God. To believe what saints tell us,

what is written in the scriptures. Once we accept His existence, He discloses

Himself to us. Once we accept Him - we will know Him. He is always with us,

always was and will always be with us. Only God remains. Only God IS. Let us

accept His existence.

 

Let us utilize the three powers that we have received. Let us not misutilize

them. Only human beings have the discriminative faculty to understand this, to

serve others and pray to God. Let us serve others with whatever capability or

things we have. All actions are only for serving others.

 

Serve all; Know your Self and accept God. God IS and God is mine - accept this

firmly.
