Sri Saraswati is also known as Sri Vageshvari (mistress of speech)

There are 4 temples dedicated to Sri Vageshvari (Sri Vageshwari). They are

Sri Vageshwari Temple, Chiplun, Maharashtra

Sri Vageshwari Temple, Goregaon East, Mumbai

Sri Vageshwari Temple, Dholka, Gujarat

Sri Vageshwari Temple. Junagadh, Gujarat

The temple at Dholka (Ahmedabad, Gujarat), nearly 500 years old, is famous in

north/west india for praying by devotees who have speech deficiencies.

Each suburb of mumbai (eg malad, matunga etc) has Sri Vageshwari Temple. I have

listed here is the oldest of all these temples

Dr. B. V. Rajarao of New Jersey, USA has pointed out that Vageshwari means " The

Empress of Speech " and not " Mistress of Speech " as mentioned in my earlier

posting. I sincere apologize for error.
