Guest guest
I have a wooden plaque with this motto written on it; " Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday " . You find that things have gone on fairly well – of course, it could have been better but it might have been worse! We have been able to manage today fairly satisfactorily, and now we are worried about tomorrow, about the next day – they will also take care of themselves, when they come along. People often say " oh, it has never happened to me before " . Of course it has never happened before. Every day and moment is happening for the first time! The evening of 1st March 1974 has never happened before; it goes on smoothly; and even so, the 2nd of March also will go on smoothly. Something might happen – something has to happen one of these days, just as in a couple of hours, instead of sitting up, you will lie flat. One of these days I will lie flat and may not want to get up for a few more days – also alright, part of the game – as long as I don't call it a dangerous illness and think " oh this shouldn't happen to me – it can happen to everybody else, but not me, I am so important you know " . So again I must know that what I call my (my body, my life) also kills me, destroys me. I don't want my friends to fall ill; and then I don't mind as long as I and my immediate family don't fall ill; and then I say " I must not fall ill " – the bug may bite my wife or husband as long as I don't get bitten. Why not me? I am also formed of the same potatoes as others. To be continued..
