3rd Day – Saturday -- 6TH February 2010

 

On this day, the whole group was divided into three groups and asked to do

duties at Laddu Counter Lines at Vaikuntam Queue Complex I. The three groups

were given three different timings. The first group was from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00

noon, the second group from 12.00 noon to 6.00 p.m., and third group from 6.00

p.m. to 11.00 p.m. It was a hectic work, controlling the menacing-eager masses,

who were very enthusiastic to have the darshan of the Lord immediately and also

to have Laddus as HIS prasadam. It requires skills to be one with the masses to

control them in a friendly manner, otherwise, it leads to unpleasant situations.

TBP volunteers have done a wonderful job here and received the praise of the

concerned TTD officials.

 

4th Day – Sunday -- 7TH February 2010

 

This is the most challenging job of all the days. The whole group was asked to

give seva at Annadanam to the perennial inflow of pilgrims. At a time, the

complex accommodates 2,000 devotees. Being Sunday and holiday, we might have

served to more than 25 batches from morning 9.00 a.m. to evening 4.00 p.m. It

was a continuous seva. Without taking anybody's name, though there are quite a

few who really toiled a lot, everyone has worked very hard as well trained and

in a coordinated manner along with TTD employees, who are more effective and

efficient, being trained on-the-job, TBP sevaks were no way less in matching

them. I must acknowledge the decent and efficient way of service of TBP

volunteers on this day. Even the head of this Department specially called a

couple of us and complimented us profusely for the efficient service. In fact,

he has seen us picking up the left-out eaten leaf-plates of the devotees. It was

all part of wholehearted surrender to HIM through HIS devotees, which touched

the heart of the head of this department.
