Guest guest
Priya Bhagavat Banduvullara! From to-day onwards, you will find one of 108 holy Ancient Texts briefly explained by Dr.Raparla Janaradhana Rao. The original TELUGU version of " Rishi Vani " , was written by joint effort of Dr.Rao and his wife R.Sesharatna Kumari. Shri Mallapragada Ranga Rao, Arsha Dharma Pracharak had appreciated the work. In fact, we are hearing these holy texts almost daily without much inner knowledge about them. Some are from Vedas, some are from Stotras. So, let us just refresh ourselves. TO-DAY'S RISHI VANI: OM SAHANAVAVATHU SAHANOU BHUNAKTU, SAHA VEERYAM KARAVAAVAHAI TEJASWINAA VADHEETA MASTU MAAVID VISHAVAHAI OM SANTI SSANTI SSANITIHI --Taithireeyopanishad(Santi Vaachakam) The ancient sage teacher and the sishya, the studnet used to chant this Upanishad saying everyday before the commencement of their lessons. This beginning prayer is full of noble thoughts and lofty evocations. " Let us live together Let us share (the knowledge) together Let us strive together Let us be filled with light Let there be no animosity amidst us Let there be peace, peace, and peace " It is to be noted that both the teacher and the taught sing this hymn in chorus at the staring of the lessons every day, in Gurukulams. The most remarkable things in this invocation is that of a cooperative endeavour in seeking knowledge or the TRUTH, both by the teacher and the taught. The quest for knowledge or the TRUTH, is an on going process to be fulfilled not by one, but by both, the teacher and the taught. The common endeavour, common sharing warrant a cordial atmosphere in the school. It should be without any ill will. And then there will be peace, peace and peace alone. JAI SRIMANNARAYANA.
