Guest guest
Priya Bhagavat Banduvullara, VOICE OF THE RISHIS - 15 AVIDYASYA KUTODHANAM " Who can earn money (dhanam) without knowledge (Avidya?) " . Here the connecting link between education and money earning is established. Man should come up with high educational achievements in order to earn money. How can the unedcuated (Avidyasa) gain riches (dhanam)? " . This saying gains more importance in these days when people with vast knowledge and great skills in varied faculties, earn high income and lead high status in the society. The full text goes as 'Alasasya kuto vidya', How can a lazy one acquire knowledge?, Avidyasya kuto Dhanam?, Avidyasay Kuto Mitram? How can moneyless gain friends? and the final question is " Amitrasya Kutah sukham " ? How one can have happiness without friends? " Thus a cycle is established for one to gain happiness in this world. The crux of the issue relates to acquisition of Knowledge, which should form a pious goal in man's life. To sum up one should not be lazy or indifferent in acquiring knowledge. He should be studious, eschewing sloth and then he is sure to get riches. If one is rich one can get friends. and friends make our lives happy by their association. Hence our constant endeavour should be acquiring more and mor knowledge, which sure brings happiness.
