Guest guest
Priya Bhagavat Banduvullara! VOICE OF THE RISHIS - 18 ASAAVAADITYO BRAHMA -- Yajurveda - Swadhyaya Brahmanam The immemorial questions have been " Where is the God, How does He look, is He formless or with a form, or by what name He goes " . To all these quizzical metaphysical enquiries, several theologians have given several answers in their own ways of perceptions. And these varied answers have unfortunately brought in various dissentions among the people leading to several sects. It is ironically said that no other political or economic factor has brought out so much ill will and displeasure, sometimes even death and devastation, that the concept of God by the religious crusades sectarian bigotry among the people of the same religion have become the bane of human race. A rather long introduction indeed!. And we shall come to the final Vedic answer to this question, " Where dwells God " . Showing us the sun, Veda says, " This very (As seen) Aaditya (Sun) is Brahma (God). To us of the earth, sun is God. By the zodaic system and materiological science and the law of physics, it is borne out that the sun is the energiser and the source of all activity in this world. Without hair splitting arguments, only academic in content, this simple, short, but most significant Vedic saying states that this very (Asou), sun (Aadity) is God (Brahma). Thus, sun worship assumes great importance in Vedas, considering Aditya, the sun as a Pratyaksha Daiva. He is worshipped by Gayatri Mantra.
