Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS :26 " AAASRAYETH MADHYAMA VRITHAM " `Observe moderation' in all your activities is the sage counsel useful to all ages, to all men, of all climes. Extremes always are counter productive and beget negative results. Hence rational living requires that man should always try to maintain a median in his life's long journey to achieve results worth reckoning. In food, sleep, or in ambitions, or our expectations, sex, intimacy with others and you name them, always observance of moderation yields dividends. In our talk, our outspokenness, why, even in our politeness or generosity, moderation as a principle acts as a speed breaker in our hurried lives of the present day world. We observe caution, in not driving a machine to the extremes. And of all the machines, man's being is the most precious one and should be used in great moderation for a long, healthy completion of our lives. We see several failures in the lives of card players, gamblers, and people betting on heavy stakes. Princes become paupers. Gambling, drinking, smoking and sex perversions are the practices that lead to the fall of even great men. Healthy peaceful living, warrants moderation in all activities of daily lives. Even dressing for an event, looking after our dress, hair style, likes and dislikes of dietary habits, when carried to the extremes, as medical science tells us, lead us to mental state called O.C.D (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). People with this O.C.D cannot observe moderation in their habits. They become laughing stock among others and patients in the hands of psychiatrist. " Aasrayeth madhyamaa vritham " is the life's important guideline.
