Guest guest
Meeting the clergy in London Dear Jay Mahashay, Among your various superb performances to promote the central theme of Hinduism, I believe, your recent interaction with the Clergy is the most significant. The painful impact of September the 11th of 2001 will slowly push the intelligentsia of the world to support " the Interfaith movement to take Centre-stage " thereby facilitating all of us to focus our ears to the fervent calls of the September the 11th of 1893 which created a stir and celestial hopes in the minds of the religious leaders of the world. How soon and how positive the real participation of other organised faiths would be the big question. The list had already seen the ugly face of the Vatican style interfaith dialogue recently. Let us not forget that the same Pontiff of Vatican had the audacity and ignorance to call Lord Buddha publicly as 'a man bereft of religion' and to issue a mission statement 'evangelisation of Asia is our project for the third milliennum as we did for Europe and Africa in the preceding two milliennums'. Also please recall the casual remark of the Duke of Edinburgh made on Hinduism classes during the get together in London. In these adverse climates, your interactions with others are really bright rays of hope to the children of Swamiji all over the world. Let us hope a new victorious David who can stand against the intolerances of all the gigantic organised faiths will emerge out of you soon. I am curious to know what picture of Hinduism might have the Murugan Temple Leaders painted and impressed upon the Queen when she and the Duke paid a visit to the Temple recently. There was a short TV coverage in Singapore of the Queen's walking around the Hindu Temple in London. We all send our sincere support and congratulations from Singapore for your bold and noble attempts. Yours lovingly Prakash
