Guest guest
Dear Sathia I actally agree with what Sharma says. There is not only this westernised peeudo-secular domination in the media but also a very strong influence of communists (!!) and christian missionaries. Since Independence Nehruvian policies and the education system ensured that a huge number of leftists have dominated national opinion making. Similarly, christian missionaries have controlled education through the sheer majority of schools and colleges that they have built up since the introduction of English education in 1835. These 2 have effectvely ensured that there is not much voice for Hinduism in mainstream media particularly. Some voices are coming up just now. The one I like a lot if the International Forum for Indian Heritage. Please visit their website http://www.geocities.com/ifihhome Swami >Dear Sharmaji, > >Namaste. > >I am thankful for your mail. > >However, I am not satisfied with this unfortunate state of affairs. > >Are there not any pressure groups in India who can take up this matter to >the political leaders to ensure that teaching Hindu thought and philosophy >is supported by the government.
