Guest guest
Dear Friends, <snip> the message came from " Dr T H Chowdary Information Technology Advisor: Government of Andhra Pradesh " > Here in India in the name of 'secularism' teaching Mahabharata, > Bhagavata or Ramayana is prohibited, not to talk of Hinduism. > But Koran and Bible could be taught. We are de-Hinduising Indians > so that they are becoming prey to the proselytizers and also become > resident-non-Indians. " I am not from India. Is there a legal basis for what is happening and a legal means of addressing the above issue in India? What do your constitutional experts and human rights organisations say? Is not religious education a basic right of human beings? Is that a conscious decision of independent India or a left over from the British rule? Can someone provide a complete picture? Thank you. With best regards, Sathia.
