Guest guest
I once read a story about some ships that were caught in a cyclone in the South Sea Islands, and there was a picture of it in the illustrated London News. All of them were wrecked except one English vessel***, which weathered the storm. The picture showed the men who were going to be drowned, standing on the decks and cheering the people who were sailing through the storm. Be brave and generous like that. Do not drag others down to where you are. *** H.M S. Calliope and the American men-of-war at Samoa. - Ed
Guest guest
This one really touched me deep down in my heart. How often in life we are so petty as to feel envious with the success and prosperity of somebody else. Why cant we learn to celebrate success of others with as much grace and cheer as our own. Then we really live the ideal of seeing the same self everywhere. Incidentally we are very happy sympathising with the misery of others but quite often that sympathy is nothing but a feeling of - thank god its not happening to me. ananta <sarada wrote: I once read a story about some ships that were caught in a cyclone in Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup
