Guest guest
The Channel 4 TV people phoned me up today and asked if I knew of Hindu kindergarten stories which invoke 'horror and fear'. Equal to the Bogy man stories in the West. They are doing a documentary and need some information. I am supposed to phone them up tomorrow morning and give them some background information. I do not recall any such special stories in the Hindu tradition. Maybe the list members can help. I know only of poor Ravindranath Tagore as a child being told not to step outside a circle drawn around him, else like Sita he will get abducted by Ravan. I suppose, Ravan may then have forced him to compose some national songs for Sri Lanka : ) jay
Guest guest
Namaste Jay, The stories of Prahlada, Dhruva, even Nachiketa, were sufficiently horrifying for my generation!
