Guest guest
Sri Ramakrishna Charanam Saranam; Sri Sri Ma Dear Jay, Pranams. One Kathy Rabold started sending mails after mails daily to some of the list members taking the addresses from the list. Though she is trying to spread the Gospel to as many people as possible, the sheer volume of the mail creates real difficulties to people like Edith Tipple and me. Please go through the reply sent to me by Edith Tipple for my mail to him. Could you please do something to hide the addresses of the list members? Yours in the Lord, Prakash - Edith Tipple P. S. Kamanat Saturday, August 10, 2002 2:59 AM Re: Fwd: [Ramakrishna-Vedanta] Vedanta Newsletter - August 5, 2002 Dear Prakash, I quite agree with you. I wouldn't mind one selection a day from M the Apostle and Evangelist, but I am beginning to dread opening my email for the flood of kathy emails. I think she is a middle-aged widow who raised two children and is perhaps the disciple of Swami Chidananda in the Northeast. She has become enamored of M. by recently coming across M the Apostle... She did pick our names off Jay's list. Perhaps we should discuss this with him: Is there a way of not putting our addresses on his list? And also write her asking to remove all but one message per day. Since she has answered my emails, I will write her this instant and add your name to my request. Would you please write Jay (adding my interest) about not having our addresses on his list? Please let me know what he says -- and if Kathy stops all but one email. I'm glad you wrote. Best wishes, Edith "P. S. Kamanat" wrote: Dear Edith Tipple, Shall I take the liberty of sending a mail to you without your permission?Your comment on Kathy Rabold's mail ad is appropriate. I also have the same opinion.I am curious to know who this Kathy is. I never sent a mail to this person asking her/him to include my name in the her/his list. When I sent a personal mail to Jay of Vivekananda Centre, London, I got a reply from Kathy saying that the article sent by me to Jay was excellent. Her mail reached me earlier than it appered in the list! The next day onwards, I started getting mails after mails daily (minimum of ten mails a day) addressed to me. I sent a mail to Kathy asking who the person he/she is and asking him/her to send less mails. But no reply. Though Kathy is sending spiritual values, the volume of the mails makes me exhausted. Kindly advise me how to get rid of this person who is not bothered to answer my querries. Moreover, there is no digest form if it is a mailing list.I am familiar with you as an important member of the Ramakrishna list. So I took the liberty of writing to you.Yours in the Lord, Prakash

Earlier I had told Kathy that she should not send material to our list - hence I think she has resorted to sending the messages directly to any list member (whose email she has acquired). The email details of our list members is not available to the public. But when any member sends a posting to the list the rest of the list members can see the email details. This cannot be avoided. I am sending a copy of this message to Kathy and also to Nitin Nanda who seems to know Kathy. jay
Guest guest
Dear Kamanat, Please make a point that emails exchanged between fellow friends should not be pasted as such in the newsgroups. It is something private matter among few members and can create unnecessary misunderstanding. I have already replied you on the matter. I preferred not to spam the issue in the newsgroup. Everyone is human and in the effort of overwhelming spiritual service one can forget few formal things that should not be taken up so negatively. A one liner advice sent to Kathy should have helped you. Please take my response in positive spirit and write to me directly in case of any questions. There is one flaw in our (Indian) culture: Instead of encouraging a person doing a right thing, we try to find fault with him and dismotivate him. That is why, India is not able to prosper like the Western nations. Thanks, Nitin. Ramakrishna, " Vivekananda Centre " <vivekananda@b...> wrote: > P. S. Guest guest
Dear Nitin, I have sent two mails to Kathy to try and restrict herself to one post per day. But she keeps on filling up our mailbox. This is weird. If she is so much interested she should keep in view the inconvinience of the recepients. Yours sincerely Jagannath --- srimatrust <SriMaTrust wrote: > Dear Kamanat, > > Please make a point that emails exchanged between > fellow friends > should not be pasted as such in the newsgroups.
