Guest guest
We all eat and drink to satisfy our hunger and thirst. But as a consequence we are subject to the calls of nature and excreta emanates in various forms. But the real purpose of eating is not for these excreta and rather for gaining energy and to sustain this body. Similarly when Dhyanaam, Yogam and other spiritual paths are pursued, there emanates from one's body several Siddhis or powers. These powers are sometimes used by fakes to deceive innocent people. Such imposters try to pose off with these powers as god incarnations. True saints such as Ramakrishna never endorsed the display of siddhis while even the greatest of the powers lay vested with him. He used to say that these Siddhis are meant for washing away just as one cleanses the body of these excreta. The true devotee should aspire only for God and nothing else. -- Pradeep
