Suffering

Dear Frances,

Prescriptions for suffering are very easy to dole out

when the shoe is at the other feet, is it not? Only

the sufferer knows what suffering is. Sure, suffering

is indispensible and it leads us closer to God but one

" realises " this only when the suffering is over!

How many of us can be like Thakur? He never really

bothered about his cancer and went on regardless.

Probably what we (ignorant souls) can learn is that we

have to totally immerse ourselves in what we are

interested in to be able to ignore suffering.

Regards,

Jagannath
