Yogi Ramsuratkumar

I would like to ask the members of the group, if anyone has heard of

Yogi Ramsuratkumar, a great saint of our times who attained Maha

Samadhi - Feb, 2001 in Tiruvannamalai ?

 

He was one of the greatest disciples of Swami Ramdas (more commonly

known as Papa or Papaji) whose ashram (Anandaashram) is Kanjangad

about 60km from Mangalore.

 

Yogi, met Papa around 1951 who gave him the " Sriram Jayaram

JayaJayaRam " mantram which he chanted non-stop day and night for a

week and attained the highest state.

 

Papaji then instructed Yogi to proceed to Tiruvannamalai, where Yogi

led the life of a beggar (he used always call himself " beggar " ) and

did not move out of the temple-town for the next 40yrs of his life.

 

Kanchi Paramacharya had referred to Yogi in many of his speeches as a

great Saint and many times sent people from the Kanchi Mutt

personally, to take care of Yogi, as he was living like a beggar.

 

Has anyone in this group heard of Yogi Ramsuratkumar ? If so, please

share some details.
