Guest guest
A man went to visit King Janaka who was reputed to be God realised. The king was out, so the man decided to sit on the king's throne while he awaited his return. Soon, the king returned. The man asked, " What is the difference between a God-man and an ordinary man? " King Janak, instead of bothering to answer him, called his servants and using very harsh words told them to beat up the man and throw him out. The man became very agitated, frightened and started to run away. King Janak went and sat on his throne and then said in a serious voice, " The difference between a God-man and an ordinary-man is between you and me. Despite my behaviour, if you would not have lost your composure and not left this seat, you would have shown the qualities of a God-man. A God-man does not lose his equanimity whatever the circumstances. : )
