Guest guest
Dear Anita Reference your interest in the relevance of Vedas today.. We at the Vivekananda Centre think the Vedas are very relevant and add that the relevance of Vedas today can best be explained not by ancient rishis but by more contemporary Rishis who have experienced the same truths in modern times and are able to relate these to us in the most contemporary language. The Rishi we are talking about is Swami Vivekananda. To gain an insight into his teachings you can click on our site Vivekananda on the Vedas pages at http://www.vivekananda.co.uk/veda.htm If you wish to have dialogue with someone well versed into the relevance of Vedas and Vivekananda's interpretation of the Vedas for our times you should contact Sister Gayatriprana at gayatriprana Many Hindus seem to think that only the 'ancient rishis' were somehow vibrant with the knowledge of the Vedas. My understanding is that the more recent ones are not only equal in stature but more important as they are able to refresh the message of spirituality in contemporary setting. jay
