A.K. Ranade, its founder. Now, one Dr. PARAMESHAR is the head of the Centre. (It seems, he visited our Jay at Vivekananda Centre, London a few months back.) This centre maintains a non-saayasi order of Seva-vrata/Jeevan vrata (Missionaries of lifelong Service) in lines of the teachings of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. They accept University graduates or Higher Secondary school graduates below thirty and who are free from family encumbrances as missionaries to serve poor in any part of India. The recruits shall remain unmarried for at least five years to do dedicated missionary services. After that, they are free to marry and and to continue the missionary services as ideal couples.. This scheme does not have a salaried professional set-up. But it provides ample scope for one's own unfoldment in national interest. The famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanya Kumari (Cape Comerin), at the tip of the Indian Sub-continent is under this Centre.
