I don't know where you are, but is there a Hospice there? They are trained to

talk to the terminally ill and know how -- and whether or not -- to broach the

subject of death. There are many stages to acceptance of death, beautifully

discussed by Dr. Kubler Ross in several books. I believe doctors are hesitant

to open the subject, unless the patient asks.
