Guest guest
See that happiness is not pleasure. See that desires and fears create bondage. And be free and happy through detachment. See that happiness is not pleasure. Pain and pleasure are the crests and valleys in the ocean of bliss (ananda). Deep down there is utter fullness. (165) Pain and pleasure go always together. Freedom from one means freedom from the both. If you do not care for pleasure, you will not be afraid of pain. But there is happiness, which is neither, which is completely beyond. (145) When the mind is engaged in serving the body, happiness is lost. To regain it, it seeks pleasure. The urge to be happy is right, but the means of securing it are misleading, unreliable and destructive of true happiness. (468) Give up the desire for pleasure and you will not even know what is pain. (82) Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.
