Guest guest
The question of organ transplantation brings out the fundamental difference between Hinduism and other world religions. Hinduism is a personal religion. So, whether someone agrees with transplantation or not is his own belief. If he agrees with it, then go and get it. If he does not agree with it, then don't get it. But do not enforce your own ideas on others. The first meeting of Sri Ramakrishna with M in the Kathamrita brings out this idea. M is asked if he believed in God with form or without form. M answered that he believed in God without form. Sri Ramakrishna told him that that was good, and also warned him not to believe that his way is the only way. That led to M's first and only argument with Sri Ramakrishna. Panels of " experts " can be made up very easily and they will lecture profusely. But, it is for the individual to realize what he believes in.

Namaste, The issue is more analogous to Arjuna's state of 'dharma- saMmUDha-chetAH' than to M.'s approach to Thakur. Guest guest
Dear Sunderh, That's a good answer, very learned and correct. But I don't disagree with somdev. He has been somewhat blunt, that's all. It's maya that forces us to elongate our life with transplants. If we are able to conquer our attachments and develop self-surrender and vairagya there is no need for all that. If we lead a good life and accept shortcomings as our own karma, there is absolutely no cause for panic. Thakur knows what is best for us. Thakur has promised (and Holy Mother too) that for those who are sincerely devoted, this is their last life. We, the children of Thakur and Ma, simply need not worry. As Nagmahashay said " Mother is more kind than Thakur " . Thakur himself was kindness personified and if Mother is even more compassionate, then our problems are solved, isn't it?
