Initiation From Srimat Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj

Dear Arun,

 

You have to go to Belur Math for the initiation. But

first you must register yourself and you will get a

coupon giving you the list of books you have to read

prior to the initiation and also the probable date of

initiation. The wait may be as long as two years.

 

The email id of Maharaj is rkmpm. However

I will confirm this once again.

 

I do not know where you stay, but I think the best way

to approach the issue would be to meet the Head of the

local Ramakrishna Math and take his guidance. If he

finds you fit and eager he may put in a word so that

you can get your initiation sooner.

I'm not sure if Sri Swami Ranganathanandaji travels now as much

as he used to, but I received my initiation from him in 1997 when

he visited Bangalore. I believe he also gave initiation to a number of devotees

in Madras some time before that.

 

You could check with the Belur Math if this is still the practice.
