COME BACK TO CHRIST

The following poem was inspired by some of the

teachings of Swami Vivekananda. It came naturally to

me. I welcome frank comments from the Ramakrishna

group.

 

COME BACK TO CHRIST

(Dedicated to Swami Vivekananda)

 

O America,

Come back to Christ,

You want to survive

And survive you must.

 

Reading good books

is never enough,

Come back to Christ

Be God thyself.

 

With Bharat align

She's blessed by God

Whose names are many

There's only One God.

 

" Hail, Columbia "

Survive you must,

A way is to

Truly follow Jesus.

 

Bharat and you

Lead world to peace

With trust in God

And divine justice.

 

(Written on Saturday, January 11, 2003.)

 

Note: Bharat is the original name of India. It is a

Sanskrit word meaning one who has realized or is

absorbed in divine light. Indeed, it is a secular

name.

 

I am urging America to connect with Bharat spiritually

in addition to aligning with her in other righteous

ways. I call this alignment ABC (America Bharat

Connection.)
