Namaste,

I remember the explanation of mudras of Thakur has

been dealt by Swami Chetananandaji in his book, 'Sri

Ramakrishna As We Saw Him'.

Regarding the smile of Thakur: There's an very old

article, an editorial of Vedanta Kesari (unfortunately

I forgot the issue number, etc.)titled, 'Sri

Ramakrishna's Smile'. Swami Tyaganandaji has

beautifully narrated the meaning & philosophy of

Thakur's smile.

This is for your information.

Pranams & Regards,

Uday.

Namaste,

The smile was a gift from Sita Herself!

INTRODUCTION

(continued)

by Swami Nikhilananda

Part 4 - Visions

" ... The buildings with their different parts, the temple, and

everything else vanished from my sight, leaving no trace whatsoever,

and in their stead I saw a limitless, infinite, effulgent Ocean of

Consciousness. " ... On his lips when he regained consciousness of the

world was the word " Mother " .

.... And after a short while he was blessed with a vision of Sita, the

divine consort of Rama, who entered his body and disappeared there

with the words, " I bequeath to you my smile. "

.... In the midst of it there appeared a face with flowing beard,

calm, highly expressive, and fair. Fixing its gaze steadily upon me,

it said solemnly, 'Remain in bhavamukha, on the threshold of relative

consciousness.' This it repeated three times and then it gently

disappeared in the mist, which itself dissolved.

Regards,

Sunder
