A great many projects on Hinduism are coming to fruition in London.

TV Series:

A series of four TV programmes with ITV has already been recorded and has now

been edited and is ready to be aired later on this year. The producer was highly

pleased with the Hindu input. He invited us yesterday to discuss a possible participation

in future programmes being planned. This will possibly including a series on:

'Science and Religion' with contributions from various faiths as well as a series

on 'The Concept of God' with contribution from various faiths. The meeting went well.

Talks on Hindu themes at Universities in the UK

In the last few weeks we have been invited to give talks at various colleges such as: Imperial College, King's College, Queen Mary's College, The London School of Pharmacy, School of Oriental

and African Studies and Greenwich College. The pace of invitations continues to

increase, indicating a greater awareness within the Hindu youth. The next talk is at

Imperial College on Tuesday 25th February - Huxley Building (room 240) Time: 6 and 7pm

Topic: Science and Hinduism.

Talks at Temples and Community Centres:

The fortnightly talks at the Sindhi Centre in Harrow continue to attract greater numbers.

A total of about 120 people attend the two talks on Sunday mornings.

Earlier on this week, a talk was arranged by the Woolwich Hindu group. It attracted

about 120 people (mainly youngsters). There is a very dynamic Hindu group working

very hard in this part of London.

The Neasden Swaminarayan temple has arranged a seminar on Hinduism for a

hundred Religious Education teachers this week. We hope to contribute in the presentation.

This afternoon a coach-load of English School girls paid a visit to the Vedanta Centre

in London. They had travelled all the way from Plymouth (a four hour coach drive!)

to learn about 'Brahman'. After listening to the discourse on Brahman

they sat in meditation contemplating Brahman. What a sight!!

May the Grace of Brahman descend on such sincere aspirants.

As you see London is buzzing.... It is here that Hinduism will gain a foothold

and from here it will flow out and inspire the rest of the world including India.
