Guest guest
Avatara is the highest possible expression of Spirit - Supreme Consciousness - in a human form. God in Vedanta is Absolute Consciousness. If, in our present state of consciousness, we cannot understand this, we can worship the same Pure Consciousness in a Human Form. Important point to note here is that we must keep faith in Absolute Spirit, and not necessarily the form it embodies. Name and form usually conjure up limitation, and as our real nature is Freedom, we cannot accept any limitation as a complete truth. Therefore, Sri Ramakrishna can be seen as a noble human soul, a man of God, or a Personal God - Avatara Purusha. In all the three aspects he remains the Highest Expression of Supreme Spirit. c s shah * http://www.geocities.com/neovedanta
