Guest guest
The highest men do not seek to get any name or fame from their knowledge. They leave their ideas to the world; they put forth no claims for themselves and establish no schools or systems in their name. Their whole nature shrinks from such a thing. They are the pure Sâttvikas, who can never make any stir, but only melt down in love.
Guest guest
Probably this is the way to read swamiji's lectures - one para, one idea at a time. If I try to " consume " even one lecture all at once, it seems to be too much for me. There are so many ideas, and on top of that, the wonderful music of words. So, maybe the way to study is the way Swami Turiyananda used to study the Gita - read one shloka and meditate on it for hours. With our smaller concentration levels and attention spans, maybe we can read a para, and then think about it for a few minutes. And then proceed to the next para. --- Ananta <sarada wrote: > The highest men do not seek to get any name or fame > from their > knowledge.
