Guest guest
In India the monkeys are captured in a special way. Lots of pots with very small necks are buried in the ground. The pots are filled with walnuts. The monkeys place their hands in the pots and grab the walnuts. The necks of the pots are deliberately too small to let the fists holding the nuts come out. The monkeys will not let go of the nuts and they are caught. We smile.... but we too operate like these monkeys, says Vedanta, and are caught in this world. Vedanta asks, " Why do we suffer? What snares us? " Our small minded-ness is the narrow vessel that snares us. We want to be small-minded and ignore our true nature - that catches us out and makes us suffer. jay
