Guest guest
Hi all - Somebody had posted this URL & after checking I was zapped as, to my surprise Sri Chinmoyji says that Shankaracharya was not a saint (?)!!! This is the most funniest (I cant be angry on this)statement I have ever come across from any hindu who himself is a spiritual teacher (?) To be honest, I dont know anything about Sri Chinmoyji, nor do I want to know anything about him. But one thing is for sure, as Sri Ramakrishnadev and Swamiji had very high regards about Shankara, then he must be a god sent saint. Just let me know your views. You can mail me off this list also to avoid bandwidth :-) Pranams and Wishes. Jai Sri Ramakrishna. Calendar - Free online calendar with sync to Outlook. http://calendar. Guest guest
Hello Sir/Madam, I agree with you in this regard. If I consider Sri Ramakrishnadev and Swamy Vivekananda, both of them have spiritual power as all of us know. Moreover, if you think about Swamy Vivekananda, who is the best student( Sissho) of Sri Ramakrishna, is the person of Modern era believing in Scientific and logical thinking. And I think because of him we have been able to create our respected position as Indian in this world and feel proud about that. Therefore, when both of them pass a comment about someone or something, we can be rest assured that there are N Number of reasons and logic behind that. At the same time I dont want to mention that what Sri Chinmoyji had told is fully wrong, but in this regard my opinion is that, we can collect information on the point that he had mentioned and try to find the cause behind his comment. THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION. Guest guest
Hi All, If u look at the website of Sri Chinmoyji and read his biography(I read a portion of it), he was trained at Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Again if u read Sri Aurobindo's opinion on Sri sankaracharya and Swami vivekananda, he tells that both of them are vibhuti's, i.e. Jivanmukta's possessing high intelligence and love to find the truth. He doesn't consider them to be saints. So, that might have prompted for these comments. I feel that it has become a fashion nowadays to come to limelight by criticizing already accepted great seers. But let's not do the same and stick to our opinions about Sri Sankara. Who can parallel Sri sankara in his intelligence, purity, renunciation and achievements in such a short span of life. As Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna tells us : " As u stick to ur opinions and faith, allow others also equal liberty to do so " and he told the following parable about spirituality(u might have already heard) Some scientists are examining a mango tree that has fully grown fruits on it. They were arguing about its leaves, trunk etc.. A small village boy came there and climbed the tree, plucked a mango and enjoyed its taste. In spiritual life also, we should decide whether we will be mere intellectuals arguing about God and other things OR shall we be pure like the simple village boy and with strong faith reach God.
