Guest guest
In my language(Telugu), there is a saying: " A person who is suffering from jaundice, for him entire world looks yellow. He/she can't see other colors " . For conservative westners, who are very wary of the successful spreading of vedanta, this book serves their purpose. In their society a man who wears a pink shirt is viewed as if he is lacking manliness(this happened to me). If a male friend holds the hand of another man, they think they are gay. With such a narrow mindedness they are trying to read the life of great saint who lived 120 years ago. It is said that a tree should be judged by the fruits it produces. Look at the spiritual stalwarts that Thakur has produced and are still being produced at his mission and Math's. Lord Krishna is prayed even though he had 8 wives, because we see a spiritual giant in him, but not the worldly Krishna. For people with worldly nature, they see his worldly life and belittle him. In the same way, westners who can't understand Sri Krishna's raasaleela and his divine love towards Sri Radha, can't understand Thakur. As Vinay has pointed out lets drink water from a clean brook. Let me quote Thakur's saying: As you stick to your faith steadfastly, allow others equal liberty to stick to theirs. Let's remember Sri Hanuman in his faith towards Rama. No matter how many people tried to slander Sri Rama, lord hanuman stood to his faith. Regards, Prasad.
Guest guest
We can see how some evil minded people sponsor someone to try to discredit a great God incarnation Sri Ramakrishna. In this world there are men who can do anything for money. As recently we know that in America, a professor came up with evidence to try to prove that there is no significant effect on health for non-smokers who stay in a smoking environment. Who sponsored him? a tobacco company. But while what Lord Krishna did is mysterious, yet it is accurately reported that he had these pastimes with gopis and 8 wives. However, in the case of Sri Ramakrishna, the opposite is the case and we should be very clear that the allegations of Kripal in Kali's Child are just plain wrong. They are false, based on prejudice, a hidden agenda, and ignorance of Bengal customs, manners, and language. Although Thakur would undoubtedly be far more kind and understanding, I personally think Kripal should be stripped of his Ph. D. and put out of his faculty post.
