Conference held at Univ. of Mass. USA on Swami Vivekananda's impact on the West

Swami Vivekananda's impact on the West.

 

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth established a " Center for Indic

Studies " in October 2001. One of the goals of this Center is to highlight

India's intellectual traditions and present them to the West. The Center has

planned a two day conference on " Impact of Swami Vivekananda's Voyage

to the United States " at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth campus

on June 28 & 29.

 

Some who contribute to our lists:- Sister Gayatriprana and Swami

Yogeshananda, are due to participate at this conference. Carl Jackson from

Univ of Texas, Hal French from Univ of South Carolina, Swami Tyagananda

and Swami Atmarupananda are due to contribute as well. I have been invited

to speak on two themes: (1) Inter-religious dialogue (2) Science and

Spirituality.
